What We’re Building Today

Today we implement a production-grade anti-entropy system that automatically detects and repairs data inconsistencies across distributed log storage nodes:

• Merkle Tree-Based Reconciliation: Background process that efficiently compares data across replicas using cryptographic hash trees, detecting inconsistencies without transferring entire datasets • Read Repair Service: Inline consistency checker that fixes divergent replicas during read operations, ensuring eventual consistency without dedicated synchronization windows • Hinted Handoff Manager: Temporary write buffer that captures updates for temporarily unavailable nodes, replaying them when nodes recover • Anti-Entropy Coordinator: Orchestration service that schedules periodic full reconciliation, manages repair priorities, and tracks consistency metrics across the cluster
